What I Eat I love seafood so I can't live without Tilapia Scallops for hot pot. Love the dish decoration. The black pepper beef is one of my favorites in the teppanyaki cuisine. All set for lunch. Seafood platter one of Taiwan's greatest dishes. Reflection: I’m going to explain what "social conscience" means to me. The word conscience makes me think of what we think others perceive us to be like and what we do and the right of wrong of our given actions. From a psychological perspective, as a psychology major, I think of the word conscious as how humans have the ability to control what they do and the actions they take unlike with our subconscious. Our subconscious is an automatic response which we cannot control. Conscience is similar to the word conscious in that we want people to like us therefore being reactive to what is said about us and shown of us. Karina,
ReplyDeleteYour project was very interesting because it made me think about if I would be as comfortable with a robot doctor than a human doctor. I agree with your argument that robots shouldn't replace humans because us humans have the better judgement. When I first thought about your argument I thought that robots would be a better fit for the doctor position. I was thinking if we made robot more technologically advanced than humans it would work better. But than I also thought that robot doctors wouldn't be able to interpret the right information or understand what the person is saying all the time. That's why I think humans should have the doctor title instead of robots. I thought your project got people think about what would they feel comfortable with. Great job!
Hi Karina,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed watching your video! I find this topic incredibly interesting, and is making me rethink becoming a bio major. I do think, however, that although technology and robots in the medical field would probably increase factors such as precision and efficiency and reduce things such as burnout, a robot most likely could not serve as a replacement for such things as bedside manner and the ability to think critically and be empathetic towards patients, gaining experience and being able to diagnose someone based on this experience. Overall well done!
