Research Questions

-Through the recent discovery of medical technology, the medical field has greatly exceled in its results. With curing and finding more biomedical resources to help scientists lead more successful findings.

-Medicine has surpassed many findings in the recent years including the improvement of lives all around the world. Technology being one of its great factors in the new discoveries of medical advances.

-Medicine has been affected by technology for the better in the past years leaving it a great space for new discoveries that have helped healthcare become more efficient and successful.  

Reflection

I gave my three research questions to members of my family and found similarities and differences all across their responses. Firstly, most of them agreed on the idea that my draft of these questions was not smooth, and the words used in it are rather rough and do not go straight to the point. They recommended to use words that are more elegant and coherent sentences because many times they found themselves rereading the statements in order to understand my research question’s claim. That aside they also thought that I should stick with choosing between medical technology or biomedical technology because they are different terms that are not what I meant to discuss. Another thing they agreed on is that indeed medical technology has advanced the success rates of medical procedures, however, they preferred that I focus on several specific procedures and make it a more narrowed discussion. Two of the people who read these thought it would help if I named one specific medical advancement that has currently been successful and use that to back up my claim by finding many examples when doing my research. To my surprise I was not happy with these thesis examples either because I don’t think I was able to produce a formal thesis statement that served my claim. The responses I got were good in the sense that they confirmed my argument was a debatable thesis statement because people can choose to counter it and prove that medical technology has not completely helped efficiency and successful procedures. On the other hand, they said that my thesis statements were not too narrow so that is something I will have to continue working throughout this unit.
